How it plays
Between two and six discs share a round ring. Point where you want your disc to go and it slides there, heavy and slow to stop. Bump the others toward the edge: a disc is out when its centre crosses it. After a few seconds the ring starts to shrink, and it keeps shrinking until it is smaller than a disc, so a round always ends. The last disc in takes the round.
- First to win enough rounds. The room's creator chooses whether a match is won with 3, 5 or 7 rounds before it starts.
- Hits are momentum, not damage. Nothing has health. Where you are, how fast you were going and how heavy each disc is decide a collision.
- Take a run-up. A disc that runs straight gathers speed past its usual top, so its next hit lands harder. Turning bleeds the speed away, any hit spends it, and a charged disc can't ease off, so it can overshoot.
- Watching. Anyone who opens the room's link after the match has started watches it.
Upgrades between rounds
After each round that doesn't end the match, everyone picks an upgrade that changes how their disc works: a heavier stone, one that glides, one that draws others in, or a button that dashes, anchors, pushes everything near it away or lets it pass through. Every upgrade has a cost, so none is simply better, and a disc holds at most four.
- Picks are secret. Each player sees only their own choices, all at once, and everyone's picks show when the next round starts.
- A little help for the losers. Whoever didn't win the round is offered one more upgrade to choose from.
- Everyone starts level. A new match begins with no upgrades.
Playing it
It works with a mouse, a finger or the keyboard: the arrow keys or W A S D steer, and the space bar or E uses an ability. It plays on a phone as well as a desktop. This is an early version and its balance is still being worked out. Open a room and send the link to friends.
